Obituary for Linden Wayne Fitzgerald

Linden Wayne Fitzgerald
Luke 23:43
And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”

It is with broken hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our sweet Papa, Linden Wayne Fitzgerald.

He was the strength of our family and always there to lessen our burdens. Dad was married 3 times and had 5 children with his first wife Valerie (deceased), who are Guy, Adele, Mark (deceased), Hope (Dean), (children Devon (Vanessa) and Matheu), and Ed (children Joshua, David and Nevaeh). He also had 2 great grandchildren (Benjamin and Alice). He married Shirley from Connecticut in November 2015. Dad’s parents were Athol and Kathleen and he had 9 siblings (Colleen, Bruce (Verlie), June, predeceased by Iris, Lois, Audrey, Muriel, Loretta, and Fred), as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

He worked as a machinist for most of his life and enjoyed playing hockey, fishing, curling, bowling, the computer, crosswords, Friday movie night, plus music and dancing. He had a twinkle in his eye that was especially bright when he was about to deliver a zinger and was known to us kids as the hamburglar because he loved to pick the hamburger from the cabbage roll mixture, actually, any dish with hamburger! He was handsome with beautiful hair most men would be envious of and dressed beautifully for meetings and outings. We can’t count the times he helped each of us with an open heart or a smart quip!

You left us too soon, Dad, and you will be loved and missed always. We know you, Mom and Mark are listening when we talk to you.
