It is with extremely heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Connie Flanagan, beloved wife, mother and friend. After a long and hard-fought battle with cancer Connie passed away on the evening of Saturday, March 9th at St. Boniface Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter Shantel (D’Arcy), her husband Donald, his daughters Melissa, Tara and granddaughters Brooke and Lily.

Connie was born in Winnipeg where she lived her whole life. She followed in her late parents Maurice and Noni’s footsteps, choosing to pursue a career teaching kindergarten and nursery for 35 years. Connie was an exceptional teacher beloved by her students and known for always bringing innovation and passion into her classroom. Outside of the classroom Connie was known for her love of travel, cooking, Christmas and her creativity. With her husband Donald they traveled the world making memories together.

The family asks if you wish to extend your sympathies, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba in her memory.

I will always remember all the crazy fun times we shared at Aunt Olive’s farm. There were way too many to mention, but they will be in my heart forever!
